"AI Explained" - AI and ethical concerns
Note: This event will be in german.
AI in search engines, AI assistants on the phone, AI in the defense industry, AI that discriminates — daily headlines about AI developments seem to outdo one another. While the AI Act has finally been adopted at the European level after years of discussion, new technological possibilities are already making waves.
How can we use AI ethically, and what can we do to address concerns and integrate values into technology? The lecture discusses examples of ethical concerns in the use of AI as well as risks for individuals and for the liberal-democratic rule of law. At the same time, it highlights ways in which we, as a society, can work toward ethical technology design and a more conscious use of technology.
