For the research project "Desirable AI. Rethinking A.I. for Just and Sustainable Futures"

To support the establishment and work of the interdisciplinary research project "Desirable AI. Rethinking A.I. for Just and Sustainable Futures", funded by the Mercator Stiftung, we are looking for a Team Assistant (m/f/d) for 20 hours per week (50%).

Starting date: as soon as possible

Duration: fixed-term until 31.03.2027

Your Responsibilities:

  • Independent and self-directed management of the office
  • Administrative processing of procurement, business travel, and personnel matters
  • Travel expense reimbursement and invoice processing
  • Administration of budget and project funds within the research group
  • Administrative support and monitoring of third-party funded projects
  • Independent correspondence in German and English
  • Support for international visiting scholars
  • Assistance in the planning and organization of workshops and conferences

Your Profile:

  • Completed vocational training in a relevant office or administrative profession,
    or proven equivalent knowledge and professional experience
  • Good knowledge of relevant office software (MS Office)
  • Experience with SAP (SRM/BudCon) is an advantage
  • Good command of English and German, fluent in spoken and written communication
  • Experience with university administrative procedures is an advantage
  • Committed, flexible, and team-oriented
